Summer school of Medieval Studies held after CARMEN Annual Meeting in Sazava (6-8 September), Czech Republic
The Summer School of Medieval Studies (Letní škola medievistických studií) is held during the first weekend of September (6-8th) at the Sázava Monastery, 50 km south of Prague, offering doctoral students practical seminars and thematic lecture blocks, a section to present their own projects, and a keynote lecture from a significant medievalist. This event – also popular because of the lively informal debates in the evening – is attended by approximately 60 young medievalists each year. CARMEN attendees are invited to join the event (notice: the lectures and seminars are held in Czech). More information, including tentative programme and application, you will find in the Events and Meeting section.
